- 用來說明動作發生的時間。
- 寫法為：介系詞 ＋（the）時間 N。
- at ＋ 時刻 ／ noon ／ night，如：
- The movie is at four thirty p.m.（電影在下午四點半。）
- on ＋ 星期／日期／節日／特定日的早上／下午／傍晚／夜晚／週末，如：
- We don’t have English class on Tuesday. （我們星期二沒有英文課。）
- in ＋月分／季節／年／ the morning ／ the afternoon ／ the evening，如：
- Mr. Li was born in 1969.（李先生出生於 1969 年。）
- at 通常指「特定的時間點」，on 指「特定日」，而 in 則指「較長的時間」。
- on ＋時間 s = every ＋時間，如：on Mondays = every Monday。
- 時間前面若有 every ／ last ／ next ／ this ／ that，則不再加介系詞。
- 單字本身是時間副詞，也不再加介系詞，如：now、today、tonight、tomorrow。
