not only... but (also)... 不但…而且…，如：
To get good grades, we should not only pay attention in class but also review after class. （為了得到好成績，我們不但應該課堂上專心也應該課後複習。）
either... or.. . 不是…就是…，如：
You are either stupid or very brave to do such things. （你做這樣的事情不是愚蠢就是非常勇敢。）
neither... nor... 既不是…也不是…，如：
To keep slim, you should eat neither between meals nor before bed. （為了保持苗條，你在餐與餐之間和睡前都不應該吃東西。）
當連接兩個主詞時，須以靠近動詞的主詞決定動詞的形式，如：
Are not only you but also Emma coming to the party tonight?
（不只你還有 Emma 今晚都會來參加派對嗎？）
