- To V 和 V-ing 當主詞時，若過於冗長，會以虛主詞 it 取代，且大都以 to V 為主詞補語。
- It is ＋ adj. ／ N（for 人）＋ to V ...（對…而言 to V 是…），
- 如：Having correct study habits is very helpful for students.= It is very helpful for students to have correct study habits.（對學生而言，擁有好的讀書習慣是非常有幫助的。)
- 如果形容詞是用來「修飾人」，則介系詞須使用 of。
- 如：It is very kind of you to help that old lady.（你幫助那位老太太真是好心。）
