肯定句：There be 動詞＋（a ／ an ／ 數量詞）N ＋ 地方副詞.
　There is an ／ one apple on the table. （桌上有一顆蘋果。）
否定句：There be 動詞＋ not ＋ a ／ an ／ any ／ many ／ much ＋ N ＋ 地方副詞.
　There aren’t many girls at the party. （派對上並沒有很多女生。）
Yes ／ No 疑問句：
　問： Be 動詞＋ there ＋（a ／ an ／ any ／ 數量詞）N ＋ 地方副詞?
　簡答：Yes, there is ／ are. No, there isn’t ／ aren’t.
如：
A：Is there any food in the kitchen?（廚房裡有食物嗎？）　
B：Yes, there is. ／ No, there isn’t.（是的，有。／不，沒有。）
Wh- 疑問句：（What ／ Who 一般視為三單）Who ／ What is there ＋ 地方副詞? （在某地有誰／什麼？）
如：What is there in your pencil box? （你的鉛筆盒裡有什麼？）
be動詞的形式（is ／ are）由後面的名詞（主詞）來決定
